Cecchi Family Continues to Invest in Chianti Classico Region

cecchi new classico investmentThe  Cecchi family has recently acquired the historical Chianti estate VILLA ROSA owned by the Lucherini-Bandini family since the 1960s.

The Lucherini-Bandini and Cecchi families have known each other for many years, and have also shared a long business relationship in other forms of agriculture.

Villa Rosa Estate is in the Chianti Classico area, in a beautiful hilly position in Castellina in Chianti, and it also includes one of the biggest cypress forests in Europe. At an altitude of 350 m above sea level, the estate is 125 hectares, 25 of which are under vine. The Cecchi family has been searching for vineyards for some time in such a vaunted area of Chianti Classico, but possessing different characteristics from the properties that they already own.

The wine produced from this estate’s vineyards will be part of the Cecchi portfolio, with more definition and details on this to follow.

The Cecchi family is very happy and proud to be able to acquire such a wonderful property, and to be able to create another fine “cru’” in the Chianti Classico region. This new project, and the genuine passion with which the Cecchi family is undertaking it, demonstrates the family’s genuine love for the land that they have called home for many generations.
